Flu vaccine delivery delays
Practices across the UK have been informed today that flu vaccine deliveries from the suppliers Seqirus are going to be delayed by at least one or two weeks due to "unforeseen freight challenges". That means that UK General practices will be without vaccines, possibly until the beginning of October 2021. This is completely outside of the practice control
The practice will continue to work hard to change their existing plans and ensure that as soon as confirmed delivery dates are received, we will contact patients will be contacted and appointments arranged
The rules around wearing of masks will become voluntary in most settings on the 19th of July. However, the Centre for Disease Control have stated that these DO NOT apply to healthcare settings. We will be continuing to ask our patients to respect the recommendations. Viral illness can cause severe disruption to our services. GP appointments with be triaged over the telephone, although patients may be invited for a face to face consultation based on a clinical decision by the GP.
Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.
Mission Statement and Statement of Purpose
Our Mission Statement confirms that we are 'committed to providing the best quality care' for our patients. Our Statement of Purpose promises that we will do this by working with, and listening to our patients, their carers and families. We will strive to keep improving the care we provide by regular feedback and reflection on what we do.
Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction
